ISO/TC60 and Its Sub-Technical Committee Domestic Technical Correspondence Workgroup Meeting Successfully Held

On the morning of March 18, the ISO/TC60 (International Organization for Standardization Gear Technology Committee) and its sub-technical committee domestic technical correspondence workgroup meeting was grandly held at the China Machinery Group Zhengzhou Machinery Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "China Machinery Group Zhengzhou Institute") in the Keda Park. The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen international exchange and cooperation in the field of gear technology and to promote the high-quality development of gear international standardization work.

Wang Wei, Deputy General Manager of China Machinery Group Zhengzhou Institute, Cao Zhigang, Secretary-General of the National Gear Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Gear Standardization Committee"), and 39 experts from the corresponding workgroup attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Cao Zhigang, Secretary-General of the Gear Standardization Committee.

Wang Wei warmly welcomed all the experts and emphasized the importance of gear international standardization work in advancing the industry and implementing national strategies. He pointed out that as the domestic technical correspondence unit of ISO/TC60 and its sub-technical committee, China Machinery Group Zhengzhou Institute actively participates in the work of the International Organization for Standardization, promoting the alignment of Chinese gear standards with international ones and helping China’s gear industry steadily improve its international discourse power. However, in the face of the rapid evolution of global technological changes, we are fully aware that only by deepening international cooperation and consolidating the industry’s collective efforts can we achieve the leap from "catching up" to "leading" in Chinese gear standards.

The meeting conducted in-depth discussions on several topics, including the ISO standard-setting process, the organizational structure and standard projects of ISO/TC60, expert responsibilities and work content, and international standardization work training.

After the meeting, participants visited the National Gear Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center and Zhengzhou Transmission Technology Co., Ltd.

ISO/TC60 and its sub-technical committee are specialized committees within the International Organization for Standardization responsible for setting gear standards. As the domestic technical correspondence unit of ISO/TC60 and its sub-technical committee, China Machinery Group Zhengzhou Institute always adheres to its mission of "serving national strategies and leading industry progress," undertaking core responsibilities such as technical support for the revision and formulation of international gear standards, cultivating domestic expert teams, and organizing and coordinating international standardization meetings. It serves as a bridge connecting international standards with domestic technical forces, systematically promoting the internationalization of Chinese gear standards.

The successful convening of this meeting not only provided a platform for experts and scholars in the gear technology field to exchange ideas and collaborate but also injected new vitality into the process of advancing China’s gear technology standardization.
